Our Daughtry UNofficial prayer:
Our Daughtry whose music art heaven, hallowed be thy voice. Thy Grammy come, thy will be done on earth as it is in rockdom. Give us this day our daily DAUGHTRY. And forgive us our trespasses, as we try to forgive those who just don't rock. And lead us not into temptation for we have seen that mic stand dance, and have already been there. And deliver us from Crappy Music. For thine IS the MUSIC KINGDOM, and the stage and the adoring fans, forever and ever. AMEN!
OK Daughtry fans...... here's the burning question of the week. How far would you go for front row seats and a meet & greet? Would you shave your head?

What About Now Video
Here's the officially released video for Daughtry's "What About Now". I have to commend the boys for standing up and making this video. In a world where so many times we're exposed to artists that are all about glitz and glamour and making videos that showcase themselves, Daughtry has gone in another direction. Most of us watched the appearance on Idol gives back where they visited some of the people in Uganda whose lives they have touched by participating in ONE. This has obviously touched the members of Daughtry, and they have chosen to use the song played during the recap of their experience there to continue asking those that view this video to step outside their own lives for just a moment and think about people as a whole. While I have some minor concerns about Daughtry being set up for a crucifiction by reviewers for not being "rocker" enough over this, I personally feel that Daughtry has made an honest, and genuine effort to maximize their impact on a cause they believe in, contribute to, and have been personally touched by. There is nothing more we can ask of true artists. ROCK ON!
Unfortunately, the video won't be posted to MTV.com until next week, so for those who miss tonight's premiere - don't worry, the video will also be loaded to DaughtryOfficial for everyone's viewing pleasure next week.

Daughtry's debut breaks another record
Daughtry entered the record books one more time this week, when "Feels Like Tonight" became the band's third song to top the Billboard Singles Chart!
Not only are Daughtry the first group to produce 3 #1 hit singles from a debut album, they now join Nickleback as the only act to bank 3 #1s from a single album.
Daughtry's previous #1s were “It’s Not Over” and “Home.”
Congrats to the guys, and thanks to the fans for making it happen!
This is the latest blog from Chris Daughtry as the tour opening for Bon Jovi comes to a close. This is of course far from the end of the road, as Daughtry will be heading out for a tour of their own in August. We are all wishing them love, laughter, and happiness as they spend some much needed downtime decompressing and catching up with family and friends. Hopefully they'll be hitting the studio and making plans for the next CD to hit the shelves and make our eardrums happy. With a 4X Platinum debut CD, DAUGHTRY has a lot to live up to. Those of us that have been there since the beginning of Chris's journey to the halls of the Rock Gods are ready, willing, and able to get behind the next release and promote great music.
If you're reading this as a brand spanking new Daughtry fan... WELCOME! Daughtry loves new fans, and we all love new people to rehash all our concert experiences, Daughtry sightings, and fan games with. Registration to this site is free, and if you post an introduction in the forum, we won't bite. (Unless you're into that kind of thing.)
To the regulars.......... we're going to have to come up with some new games or something until August. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!! I know the boys need the rest, but what do we do without them?
Jen
End of the road.........for now.

Hey yall! The Bon Jovi tour is over! Joey and I are on the way home now from Atlanta. It's been an amazing tour for us. Thank you all for coming out and supporting us. We NEVER felt like an opening act out there, with all you guys singing every song with us. We felt the love for sure, so thank you for making it great for us. I wanna thank Jon for having me out there singing Blaze with him.....I'm gonna miss that. Also, thank you all for buying our record..... and getting others to buy it as well. 4 MILLION BABY!!!!! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! We have the best fans in world.
On a side note, you gotta check out a couple albums for me.
The new Sevendust album Chapter VII: Hope and Sorrow ( I do a song on there called The Past). If you haven't bought it yet, please do. They are great friends of mine and a band I've loved and respected for a long time.
Also the new Theory Of A Deadman album Scars and Souvenirs. B-Crad and I co-wrote a song on there called By The Way. Please go check it out. Awesome band.
That's it for now. I'll see ya on the road! Much love and God bless!-CD

Daughtry was certified quadruple platinum
The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has certified DAUGHTRY's self titled debut album 4x Platinum as of 4/24/08 .
This means that total sales of the CD have topped 4 MILLION. Pretty impressive considering the release date was 11/21/06. That's 17 months to sell 4 million. That's over 235,000 average sales per month. About 55,000 per week, almost 8,000 per DAY. Considering some artists don't sell 8,000 CDs per month, this is amazing.
I think most of us let out a collective gasp of disbelief when Chris Daughtry was "voted off" American Idol. We also cheered together when the CD had astounding first week sales, and went platinum within a month. Our little "plan" of holding on til after Idol and supporting whatever Chris put his heart, soul, and voice into has now taken on a life of it's own. With 4 million fans, we can rest assured that we'll have DAUGHTRY's rockin concerts and CDs for years to come.
CONGRATULATIONS DAUGHTRY!!!!

Steely's video blog from Africa.....
Here are some words straight from Steely's mouth. If you have not yet purchased the What About Now - Idol Gives Back audio or video, you can do so on Itunes. Here are the links:
If you would like to hear this version first, please register or log in and open the music player from the home page. The audio is marked "What About Now - Idol Gives Back". The video version is in the previous story as well as in the forum under Other Appearances. (Please note, when you purchase the video through ITunes it is in high quality (not youtube) format and is crystal clear on my 20 inch flatscreen at full screen size. It is WELL worth it. The audio is 99 cents and the video is $1.99. Proceeds go to the ONE Campaign. Support Daughtry in something they believe in. It won't make a huge difference in your bank account, but it will make a difference in someone's life.
