Daughtry's debut breaks another record
Daughtry entered the record books one more time this week, when "Feels Like Tonight" became the band's third song to top the Billboard Singles Chart!
Not only are Daughtry the first group to produce 3 #1 hit singles from a debut album, they now join Nickleback as the only act to bank 3 #1s from a single album.
Daughtry's previous #1s were “It’s Not Over” and “Home.”
Congrats to the guys, and thanks to the fans for making it happen!

Latest blog from Chris on Daughtry Official
This is the latest blog from Chris Daughtry as the tour opening for Bon Jovi comes to a close. This is of course far from the end of the road, as Daughtry will be heading out for a tour of their own in August. We are all wishing them love, laughter, and happiness as they spend some much needed downtime decompressing and catching up with family and friends. Hopefully they'll be hitting the studio and making plans for the next CD to hit the shelves and make our eardrums happy. With a 4X Platinum debut CD, DAUGHTRY has a lot to live up to. Those of us that have been there since the beginning of Chris's journey to the halls of the Rock Gods are ready, willing, and able to get behind the next release and promote great music.
If you're reading this as a brand spanking new Daughtry fan... WELCOME! Daughtry loves new fans, and we all love new people to rehash all our concert experiences, Daughtry sightings, and fan games with. Registration to this site is free, and if you post an introduction in the forum, we won't bite. (Unless you're into that kind of thing.)
To the regulars.......... we're going to have to come up with some new games or something until August. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!! I know the boys need the rest, but what do we do without them?
Jen
End of the road.........for now.

Daughtry was certified quadruple platinum
The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has certified DAUGHTRY's self titled debut album 4x Platinum as of 4/24/08 .
This means that total sales of the CD have topped 4 MILLION. Pretty impressive considering the release date was 11/21/06. That's 17 months to sell 4 million. That's over 235,000 average sales per month. About 55,000 per week, almost 8,000 per DAY. Considering some artists don't sell 8,000 CDs per month, this is amazing.
I think most of us let out a collective gasp of disbelief when Chris Daughtry was "voted off" American Idol. We also cheered together when the CD had astounding first week sales, and went platinum within a month. Our little "plan" of holding on til after Idol and supporting whatever Chris put his heart, soul, and voice into has now taken on a life of it's own. With 4 million fans, we can rest assured that we'll have DAUGHTRY's rockin concerts and CDs for years to come.
CONGRATULATIONS DAUGHTRY!!!!

Steely's video blog from Africa.....
Here are some words straight from Steely's mouth. If you have not yet purchased the What About Now - Idol Gives Back audio or video, you can do so on Itunes. Here are the links:
If you would like to hear this version first, please register or log in and open the music player from the home page. The audio is marked "What About Now - Idol Gives Back". The video version is in the previous story as well as in the forum under Other Appearances. (Please note, when you purchase the video through ITunes it is in high quality (not youtube) format and is crystal clear on my 20 inch flatscreen at full screen size. It is WELL worth it. The audio is 99 cents and the video is $1.99. Proceeds go to the ONE Campaign. Support Daughtry in something they believe in. It won't make a huge difference in your bank account, but it will make a difference in someone's life.

Download Daughtry's "What About Now" acoustic performance...
Daughtry has made a studio recording of their acoustic performance of "What About Now" that you can download for 99 cents. The proceeds from this download are going to www.one.org. You can also download the video of their Idol Gives Back experience for only $1.99.
Download one, download both. Tell your friends, tell your enemies.
If you'd like to hear this version, you registered users can find it in the music player on the home page. It's a kick ass acoustic version. The vocals are dead on, the music is moody and meaningful, and it's not studio musicians. It's even more powerful to watch the video and see Chris Daughtry, Joey Barnes, and Josh Steely lend their hands, their talent, their hearts, and their voice to this cause.
$1 is NOTHING people. You can't buy a decent coffee for $1, but you CAN make a difference. If you have the money..... gift this to a few friends too. It'll make them happy, it'll do some good for those that have probably never even SEEN an ipod..... and if you gift it selectively, you'll improve some people's taste in music. You really can't ask for anything more. Download it TODAY.... in fact, What About Now?????

Daughtry's Idol Gives Back experience in Uganda
Here's the clip of Daughtry's experience from Idol Gives Back. Chris Daughtry, Joey Barnes, and Josh Steely reach out to those living in Uganda.
This is a place where something as simple as clean drinking water is seen as a blessing. Malaria is one of the number one killers, as is AIDS running rampant through the population. For those that watched the entire Idol episode, I hope you had your kleenex ready. For those that missed it, here is Brad Pitt introducing the video of Daughtry's experience.

Short and sweet Daughtry concert review
The Hot 5 - April 6
Daughtry. There are boatloads of people who dismiss the music machine that is "American Idol," so former finalists like Daughtry's eponymous lead singer might feel like they've got something to prove. How about proving it by handily opening for one of the country's longest-running and most successful big stadium acts? Daughtry is on tour opening for Bon Jovi's "Lost Highway" tour, which was in Denver this week, and the band rocked it. Even the thirty- and fortysomething mom types who were clearly there to relive their big-hair-days glory were throwing up their hands and singing along. Chris Daughtry is a charismatic lead singer, and bassist Josh Paul is almost as fun to watch as Flea.
