 Chris Daughtry speaks about the Grammys and Idol

CHRIS DAUGHTRY and his band are nominated in four categories at the Grammy Awards this weekend, but Chris tells TV Guide that one of those categories definitely means more to him that the others: Best Rock Album. Chris says, "That's what we are, and I want people to realize that. [It may be] rock with pop sensibility, [but] we are a rock band."In one Grammy category, Daughtry are actually competing against BON JOVI, with whom they'll tour later this month. When asked if he and JON BON JOVI will duet on "Wanted: Dead or Alive" during the tour, Chris says, "You bet your ass we will!"When asked to comment on the fact that contestants will be allowed to play instruments on this season of American Idol, Chris said, "I think [they] should be forced to write a song on the show and perform it. That'd bring some new life to the show. Audiences would take it more seriously."
